Swedish/Scanian & cajun music

Ten years after Thors first visit in Louisiana the album was recorded.  An idea how the music from Skåne (Scania) would sound with the cajun-sound.  Here it is with musicians from the top of Louisiana and Sweden.

The album is dedicated to Thor's grandfather Sven Svensson De la motte. Album picture is from the local newspaper 1989 when the last part of the family farm got taken from the city of Malmö. Reason was to build a new highway straight through the farm.  Sven never accepted this and kept on growing green onions next to the road and sent a bill every year to the city councill what he lost becouse of this. The song "Jag har vatt i öja" (track 4) was a song Sven use to sing when Thor was growing up. Translations is made by Kelli Jones, Joel Savoy & Cedric Watson.

Second part of the Album (Dry Bones) is ballads that with help of Snild Orre and Joshua CC Caffery that Thor found at the archive in Lafayette. Ballads that can be found both in Louisiana and Sweden.
Togheter with Agnes Åhlund and Iris Bergcrantz from vocal group Åkervinda has the swedish lyrics been re-writtened and transformed into music.
